Savings achieved last Claim Review: On 7 January 2006 savings were achieved on the cost of claims. This amount was $92,369.70. There is also a further saving of $47,000 that is pending a WorkCover appeal, under section 170.

How were these savings achieved? Returning one worker to work after previous efforts had not been successful. This meant future wage estimates were removed from calculation. Rectifying a situation where a worker and their solicitor had manipulated the system incorrectly for their benefit. This resulted in reduction of cost of claims.

We have monitored existing claims and sourced appropriate treatment. This to prevent escalation with a strategy to achieve best possible outcomes.

Cost to Client: At time of saving was just over $10,500.00
