The Role:

We are seeking an Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEP) to join our friendly and respected team based in the Sutherland Shire. Rehab Options Group of companies also specialises in Injury Management and the successful applicant will also be called upon to participate in Return to Work type tasks that will enhance your understanding of the entire process. This will facilitate optimum results with your programming an prescribing your Exercise Rehabilitation.  

The Opportunity includes:

A full time position based at our Miranda offices. For this position a company phone and vehicle will be provided as required during working hours to assist travelling to and from locations.

The successful applicant will be required to provide hands on Exercise Physiology treatment to all populations with a particular focus on workplace injuries and rehabilitation.

Relevant training an ongoing professional development will also be available.

The full time position will involve exposure and training to facilitate Return to Work as a RTW Coordinator. This to facilitate a competent understanding of the scheme and how AEP's complement the RTW process.  

As an EP your responsibilities would include, but would not be limited to:

Work Conditioning Assessment and Intervention.

 Active Conditioning exercise programs aimed at people referred by their GP.

Functional and Workplace Assessments and Education.

Develop home based exercise programs for all populations.

Case Conference (Facilitate a safe and durable return to work for an injured worker)

Modify work specific tasks to identify risk and prevent further injury.

Exposure and training to facilitate Return to Work as a RTW Coordinator. This to facilitate a competent understanding of the scheme and how AEP's complement the RTW process

Applicants should possess the following:

Friendly professional manner with good communication and organisational skills.

Attention to detail and be well presented.

Accreditation through Exercise and Sports Science Australian (ESSA).

Current First Aid, CPR.

Current valid driver's license.

The Rehabilitation Counsellor has an integral role in developing and promoting proactive injury management strategies that are focused on early injury recovery, durable return to work and appropriate, timely medical intervention. All of the above with regard to the individuals psycho-social status, and identify and develop solutions to any barriers that present.

Qualifications as a Rehabilitation Counsellor and previous injury case management experience as a provider or in a corporate environment is preferred.

Applicants should also possess the following:

Effective conflict management skills

Highly developed personal self-management and organisational skills

Friendly professional manner with good communication skills, attention to detail and be well presented

Experience with Microsoft Office

The Role:

We currently have an opportunity for a Rehabilitation Consultant / Return to Work Coordinator / Case Manager and support person to enhance and facilitate the smooth running of our team at Miranda. The other services we provide include HR/IR, OHSE & Work Conditioning. Based on the experience and qualifications of the successful applicant you will engage or be trained to be an effective and professional member of the team. It is highly desirable that you have outstanding written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to engage all parties to achieve positive outcomes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Exposure to Rehabilitation Injury Case Management, Dealing with Clients, Insurers, Injured Workers and Medical Professionals.

- Preparing detailed documents to facilitate the injury management process.

- As a team member all necessary duties to facilitate effective and timely outcomes.

Keys skills and experience required:

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills via verbal and written

- Strong work ethic and a 'can do' attitude'

- Experience as a Rehabilitation Consultant, Case Manager or assisting as Return To Work Coordinator is preferred

- Intermediate to Advanced experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Any associated or relevant Allied Health credentials may assist eg Exercise Physiology (EP), Rehabilitation Consultant, OT etc.

The position has an integral role in organising and supporting the senior staff complex roles as well as being a pro-active team member performing administration support, and other activities based on the experience and qualifications of the successful applicant. Duties & Responsibilities:

- Provide Senior Management and Allied Health staff with administrative support including maintaining files.

- Receptionist and support duties including but not limited to assist with Injury Case Management, Dealing with Clients, Insurers,              Injured Workers and Medical Professionals.

- Assist in preparing accurate documents for Workers Compensation, HR/IR, Fair Work and other important documents.

- Answering and forwarding phone calls, general office duties including tidying up for professional presentation should be expected.

- Assist to maintain office equipment, supplies and the IT asset registers.

Keys skills and experience preferred:

- Previous experience as a Receptionist and Admin Support.

- Excellent typing skills and attention to detail.

- High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail is a must.

- Excellent communication skills via verbal and written.

- Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude.
