Construction Worker

The Challenge

This employee had a wrist injury; the initial specialist consultant regarding the injury indicated the employee would be unable to continue with his chosen trade. The initial estimate for the injury placed by the insurer was conservatively set at over $50,000.

The Process

We discussed the circumstances and decided to engage an alternate specialist with expertise in this type of injury. The employee was happy to change surgeons being given the prognosis of likely full recovery. The employee underwent the operation and on to a Return to Work plan, returned to full pre-injury duties within 10 weeks.

The Result

File closed. Final certificate pre injury duties and hours. Total costs incurred were $15,000. A concretive saving of $35,000.00 on cost of claims.
